The name “Heart-Line” draws inspiration from “heartwood,” the central, enduring part of a tree, symbolizing the core strength and vitality of the home. It reflects the continuous, flowing lines that define the space, emphasizing the seamless integration of physical form and materiality.
The concept of “Heart” underscores the pivotal role of the open-concept kitchen and living area, positioned as the central, vibrant core of the home. “Line” suggests the smooth, uninterrupted flow of the design, where the thick slab wooden build-out creates a harmonious connection between spaces.
Heart-Line celebrates the dialogue between sleek black cabinetry and warm timber accents, enhancing both aesthetic appeal and functional comfort. The wrap-around entry bench, crafted from rich wood, serves as a striking centerpiece that welcomes and captivates, while defining the heart of the home.
In this dynamic living space, art is not static but evolves with the homeowners’ needs and preferences. The Mutto wall dots, designed as both coat hooks and abstract art, transform from functional elements to sculptural pieces, reflecting the changing character of the home. Similarly, the open shelving on the kitchen island, dedicated to the homeowners’ vinyl record collection, allows for a constantly shifting display. This feature not only personalizes the space but also enables the homeowners to adapt their environment with their evolving tastes, whether through changing visual elements or enjoying favorite music.
